It’s 2020, and the new years resolutions are coming in thick and fast.

If you are one of those people that make a resolution every year to start training hard, but find themselves with complete lack of motivation a few months down the line, then this is a must read for you.

We get tons of message from people frustrated that they cannot stick to their fitness goals and achieve their health goals.

We want to weigh in and give you our best advice for crushing your fitness plans at the start of this new decade.

Work Out at Home

As well as going to the gym, working out at home can be a great way to squeeze in a work out if you can’t find the time to go to the gym.  You don’t even need any equipment to get started.

Form Good Habits

Humans are very habitual beings, so if you stick at a routine long enough, it will eventually become a habit.  This means that breaking your fitness plans will be harder if they have become part of your day to day life.

Stretch

So often overlooked, stretching you body will keep it in its prime and prevent injury.  This will allow you to train harder and more effectively.  Yoga and movement classes are some of the best ways to stretch your body while gaining flexibility and strength.

Walk

Try to walk around 10,000 steps a day.  You don’t even need a fitness tracker to keep up on this, you just need to walk for an hour a day.  Walking gets the body moving and loosens up the joints, which is what we want to do to stay healthy.

Challenge Yourself

Many people fail to raise the bar after their initial new years fitness kick.  This makes training not as engaging as if you set yourself a new goal once you achieve your first one.  Keep setting goals and this will help you stay on track.
